Lignoplast is a project that proposes a new recovery process for softwood by-products to obtain a lignocellulosic material with bioplastic characteristics.

This material also has improved features in terms of its mechanical resistance and humidity.

This solution is novel since it uses fractionation technologies based on eutectic solvent (DEP), but with the advantage that the lignin-impregnated cellulose bioplastic itself is generated homogeneously in the same process.
