The SUPREME project seeks to provide innovative solutions to achieve a new generation in the field of Predictive Maintenance (proactive sustainable maintenance), knowledge-based systems based on intelligent monitoring elements.

The overall expectation of the SUPREME project is to reduce by 20% the time loss associated with equipment failure or problems in the process, and therefore, to increase overall efficiency of the paper machine, while reducing energy and environmental costs. This goal will be achieved through new technological developments in equipment monitoring, intelligent information processing, and dynamic adaptation to the maintenance strategy on the useful life of the equipments.

The SUPREME project's overall aim is to develop a reference model and the necessary tools to dynamically adapt the maintenance and operation strategies in current conditions for critical production equipment, and thereby, achieve an all-round approach to optimize energy consumption.

In the industrial application, which will be built in the CONDAT factory (Torraspapel), the specific aim is to reduce by 20% the time loss due to mechanical and process failure, while reducing energy costs up to 5% and environmental costs by 5-10%.
